The system is installed in a large shopping center complex in Australia. It is based on a number of SeeLane systems installed on all entrances and exits, and a third-party application that implements the special functions that are required by the customer.

 

   Its primary purpose is to provide shoppers with 3 free hours parking only once per day - no matter how many times they visit in a day. This prevents abuse of the system by others, e.g. retail staff or local office workers. The entry and exit events are logged and at the exit a warning is issued whenever there is a parking violation. The following photo shows one of the exit gates.

 
 

Additionally, the system provides a database of all car park transaction by vehicle.  The database is used to characterize shopper behavior and to monitor responses to changes in the car park tariffs or to special promotions.

 

 

The system is based on a SeeRoad software-trigger recognition system. It captures the rear license plate of the vehicle in the gates of valet parking lots. The plate information is bundled with the images captured by the valet system.

 

The system, installed in many casinos and other facilities across the USA, is developed and installed by Valet Parking Technology Solutions (http://www.cvaletps.com/). The valet system takes a series of images from all sides of the vehicle, and stores the license plate information into its archive. The license plate is later used to retrieve the gate event and access the damage inspection images - which are useful for cases of damage claims filed by customers.

 

The following photo shows the gates in Caesars Palace casino in Atlantic city. In this installation dual spectrum integrated cameras/Illumination units were mounted into the valet kiosk.
