C4 is a stand-alone vision-based access-control system. It identifies the license plate and automatically opens the gate for authorized vehicles, or reports on the recognition results. It is intended for single-lane secured parking lanes, office entrances, vehicle ticket printing, security system, or other installations where a compact solution is required.

This unit is a breakthrough in the LPR market which simplifies the architecture, cost and installation requirements over existing PC-based solutions.

  • Automatic security guard system
  • Modes: access-control mode or monitoring mode
  • PC FREE!
  • Easy 2-Screws installation
  • Small footprint
  • Low cost
  • optional networking connectivity (reports results to central server)
  • mono or stereo camera configuration (with slave camera)
  • 2nd generation system (enhances the previous c3 model)

This revolutionary system is a highly integrated computer/camera/illumination unit that performs all the functions of a License Plate Recognition (LPR) system with its embedded Microprocessor and SeeCar recognition package. It automatically turns on the illumination, captures the image, locates the license plate, and recognizes the registration number. The integrated computer can also interface the network and provides a web-server application to control its settings and functions.

The unit is easily installed at the entrance to a secured area or parking lot. It comes with a small connections control box that simplifies the cable connections. The unit can also be packaged in a ruggedized metal enclosure, as seen in the following picture.

In access-control mode, the unit compares the recognition result to an authorization list and opens the gate if the vehicle is authorized. Authorized vehicle numbers are stored on the unit's local database. Users can change the authorization list, as well as other parameters, using a special web server application.

The system can utilize the powerful stereo recognition mechanism, by adding a slave camera/illumination unit which is connected to the master unit. The slave unit will catch the cases where the master failed, such as in a front and rear configuration.

In monitoring mode the unit reports the result via serial line or via the network. For the networking solution the system uses SeeData utility which can connect a cluster of recognition systems to a central server, and will have the same interface as other recognition systems (such as SeeLane). The image file can also be copied to a sub-directory in the Central server.
